Nomination Form of the Executive Committee

 

For members who wish to nominate or stand for the election to the Executive Committee, for the post of Party Chairman, Party Leader, Vice Chairman (Internal Affairs), Vice Chairman (External Affairs), Secretary General, Treasurer and Member without portfolio, please fill in the nomination form and return to the Secretariat on or before 12:00 noon, 22 November 2008.

Civic Party passed the Condolence Book of Sichuan Earthquake to the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong

 

To express condolence to the people who died in Sichuan earthquake, Civic Party has collected 1,000 condolence signatures from Sichuan earthquake donation spots. At 2 June 2008, we have passed the condolence book to the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong.

Voter Registration RAP song is launched

 

The Voter Registration RAP song of Civic Party has been launched on 13 April (Sun). Audrey Eu, Alan Leong, Claudia Mo, Ronny Tong, Mandy Tam and Joseph Cheng rap together and urge Hong Kongers to register as voter.

Taiwan Presidential Election Observation Trip

 

Civic Party has been organized an observation trip to observe the presidential election in Taiwan on 22 March 2008. Trip members included Albert Lai (Vice Chairman), Tanya Chan (District Council Member), Thomas Yu (Chairman of Young Civics), Tsang Kwok Fung (NTE Branch Exco), Dorothy Tang (KLW Branch Exco) etc.

Civic Party Expresses Deep Concern over the Remand in Jail for Publishing an Obscene Article Pending Further Police Investigation

Civic Party is deeply concerned about the remand in jail for 8 weeks of a man charged with one count of publishing an obscene article pending further police investigation.  The unusual denial of bail for an offence of this nature puts in question whether the right to liberty has been unjustifiably infringed.
